About Vanessa

Hello and thank you for taking the time to read about my philosophy for healing relationships. There are two basic tenets that inform my work:

Foremost, I believe there is the most room for connection in all relationships when the self is fully known. Sometimes past relationships with parents or former partners color the way we see current partners, children or ourselves. I help my clients to find meaning in their current relational struggles by untangling the past from the present. This insight empowers my clients to find their most authentic self.

Additionally, I believe that the one of the greatest challenges of life is to find balance between two poles. Some people have a logical “thinking” worldview, while other’s are more focused on their emotional world. I help my clients to integrate these two ways of navigating the world for optimal psychological health.

My clients have told me that my approach is empathic, straightforward and insightful. We may be a good fit if you are self-reflective and highly motivated to discover how you are contributing to the current dynamics in your life. To me, therapy is so much more than a business transaction; rather it is often a deeply intimate process in which a therapist has the privilege of helping people uncover the most delicate and valuable parts of themselves.
